Senior Jake Evans brings autism awareness to the attention of MHS students with this first installment of the video series.
Autism month is something to be aware of
Jacob Thomas-Robert Evans is a sophomore at Middletown High School and a junior varsity football player. This is Jake’s first year in journalism and he hopes to inform and entertain his audience. Jake has lived in Middletown for three years and was born in Lake Tahoe, Nev. (which is certainly not near Las Vegas, but near Reno, Nev.). In his free time, Jake likes to run, hang with friends, go to the mall, play video games and go on a high-speed chase against his friends in the mall to pick up the last Xbox game in stock. Jake’s nickname, “Slick,” which he received from his freshman football year, actually turned out to be Jake’s alter-ego later on in high school; once Jake “slicks” his hair back, he begins transforming into the evil, high-pitched, loud version of Jake. When Jake finishes college, he wants to pursue a career in comedy writing or acting. Jake wanted to be involved in journalism because he loves writing and being creative (and wants to be on the morning announcements). Jake soon wishes to follow a career in journalism.
