Leila Melby, RT Media Managing Editor
Leila Melby is a senior at Middletown High School. This is her fourth year in journalism. Leila aspires to major in journalism in college and hopefully become an investigative journalist. Leila has had three leadership positions in her journalism class, RT wrap news editor, managing podcasts, and producer of RT today. Leila has also secured a spot in the national journalism honor society. In addition Leila is the president of the gay-straight-alliance, where she hopes to make her school and the community a welcoming and safe space for all students. Leila also has an internship with the neighbors of Middletown Magazine where she reports, writes, and photographs for the magazine. For fun, Leila enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her family and friends.
