Middletown High School students gave a generally positive reaction to using QR codes instead of paper for the voting for Mr. Middletown.
In an effort to waste less paper and integrate technology in school, MHS is now using QR codes instead of paper ballots in the voting for Mr. Middletown.
Some students said that using QR codes instead of paper ballots is a better and more efficient way of voting.
MHS junior Alyssa Klink said, “It’s definitely more efficient because people are more integrated with technology, so I think it is a better system than paper ballots.”
Some people said that using QR codes is a good idea but will cause some problems and still have some flaws.
MHS junior Adrienne Lowery said that they are more efficient, but it will cause problems because people will not vote due to not wanting to find the website.
And on the other hand, there are still people that said QR codes are a valid idea for the voting.
MHS freshman Evan Ruderman said that they are more efficient because almost everybody has a phone with a QR code reading app.
