Congratulations to the following students who competed in the Region two Prepared Speaking event. In the Junior Prepared Public Speaking contest, Jody Eccard placed first, and Aubrey Wishner placed second. Jody and Aubrey will move on to the state competition. In the Senior Prepared Public Speaking contest, Ellie Grossnickle placed fifth, Alexandra Yurciw placed ninth, while Savannah Welch and Kylie Pagliochini also participated.
Congratulations also goes out to the Parliamentary Procedure team who placed second in the region! Participants were Alyssa Lookingbill, Aubrey Wishner, Jody Eccard, Kelsey Kinnier, Kayla Brody and Kylie Pagliochini. They will participate in the state competition in June.
On Saturday, March twenty-first, science students throughout Frederick County presented one hundred fifty-seven projects at this year’s middle and high school Science and Engineering Fair. More than fifty professionals from the Frederick community judged the entries, and winning second place for Middletown High School were Morgan Hoffman in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Frederika Rentzperis in Physics and Astronomy. Congratulations!
