In its first season on 20th Century Fox, the show,“New Girl”, has become increasingly popular, especially with the younger generation.
The show follows the life of a young, beautiful, but slightly awkward girl and her experiences living with three other guys. The four of them all have very different and sometimes conflicting personalities. But all in all, the combination of these personalities, along with the witty script, filled with funny one-liners works with a perfect harmony.
Zooey Deschanel stars as Jess, a quirky and very outgoing woman, who, after a bad break up, ends up living in an apartment with three single guys. Although the guys are not too thrilled inviting a female in, they learn to accept her and ultimately love her.
The interesting situations and ideas lead into very peculiar predicaments, but everything always ends up on the bright side. It’s almost like the good old fashion sitcom we’ve all been missing.
With their mishaps and blunders, the characters of New Girl make it an entertaining watch, with an easy to follow plot, with plenty of comical moments. Each of the characters brings a different personality to the table.
Obviously, Jess is the out-of the box, singing single that somehow manages to bring the characters together. The guys are played by Max Greenfield, Jake M. Johnson, and Lamorne Morris. Together they have a mixture of chill, self-absorbed, calm, high strung, but no matter what they’re always funny.
Throughout their mini trials and tribulations, they all seem to come back together as a family. The cast just mixes so well, and the plot and script are so nicely written that this show has become a must watch. Set out time to watch it, every Tuesday at nine.
