The MHS Boys Varsity Lacrosse team is ready for a fresh start to a season no one will forget.
The boys are all willing to work hard to be the best and prove to other teams that they deserve the title.
Practice makes perfect for these boys and they will continue to work hard.
“At this point we have to be close to perfect” says senior Zack Hansell.
The boys must push each other to better the imperfections; “The team is like family” says senior captain Sam Michels, “We need to work hard as a team to execute when times are tough, and stick together as a team.”
The team has big hopes this year after making it to the 2A semi state finals during the 2010 season. “We hope to surpass last year’s achievements” says senior Conor Duckett, “Practices will be 110% effort this season, it’s the only way to get better.”
Sophomore Max Edelmann has stepped up to fill the shoes of graduate Simon Kinderkinect; last season’s all-county goalie. “I have to take what he left me and really work hard to fill this position” says Edelmann.
“Our team is very athletic, we have what it takes” says Coach Todd Hawkins, “we are quick at every position and have the ability to go out and run with any team.”
The boys know what they have to do have a successful season. “We have good playing chemistry, and we play well together” says junior Tim Cahall.
The team is off to a good start and has proved to be a hardworking team. With the help of a strong fan section, the boys will show their talent throughout all their games with the determination of having an unforgettable season.
