Everyone wants to get their permit and then license, because getting it means freedom in the mind of teenagers. It means being able to go out pretty much when you want, and as a teenager that feels great. Having more freedom means getting to hang out with friends more and not having to stay home all the time.
Everyone seems to either be getting their permit or license, or working toward getting it. Getting your license or permit comes with responsibilities, however.
To get your license you have to have had your permit for nine months without getting a ticket or the nine months starts over again.
In addition, in order to pass the license test you have to be able to Right Side Parallel Park, do a reverse two-point turnabout, and a public road driving test.
You will also be tested on your general driving practices. If you can pass that without getting too many points deducted then you pass and get your license.
Everyone acts differently and has different responsibilities. You sometimes look at a person and think, “Your parents let you get your license, you aren’t responsible at all.”
Yes, some people aren’t responsible, and that’s worrying. If the people are irresponsible, how can you expect them to drive a car without wrecking or knowing what’s right and what’s wrong to do?
On the other hand some people are very responsible and are ready to get their license. They have been practicing for hours on end to be able to pass their driving test the first time. They want their license so that they can have to more freedom.
Once you take your license test you either pass or fail, it’s that simple. Failing the test usually comes with feelings of sadness and gloom.
As of right now the wait to get your license is behind about two-to-three months, so it’s just two-to-three more months you have to wait.
On the other hand, passing your license’s test comes with happiness and joy, because you finally get the freedom you have been craving.
Just remember getting your license is a privilege not a right. You pass because you are prepared and are a good driver, not because you deserve to pass.
