By Kyle Frazier
The sweat is pouring
Coming from a man who once was soaring
He has landed with a crash in an unknown land
There is heat and there is sand
He Keeps Going
The hope is leaving
Leaving with every footstep as the man is conceiving
How much longer he can go
His own mind as turned it is now his foe
He Keeps Going
The oasis is coming
Just ahead he sees salvation
He begins a stammering run
His eyes have fallen to the curse of the sun
He Keeps Going
The man is thinking
He always wanted to be put in this situation
To live through such horror
His life and everything he knows seems pointless
He Keeps Going
The sun is falling
Salvation is such a thing as the night
The man believes he is saved and it seems to be so
But the man knew not that night is a double agent
He Keeps Going
The night is chilling
The mans hair stands on end
Because of the dark, deceitful night
He sees light finally, light
He Keeps Going
The light is piercing
The night lets the light shine through
The mans hope is rekindled
Even though the light is far off in the distance
He Keeps Going
The sun is rising
The man dreads the light that comes
He is surprised at his hearts ability to carry on
The heat begins to set in
He Keeps Going
The eyes are failing
The sun is blinding the location of salvation
The sweat returns and still he has no water
He slows down
He Keeps Going
The man is dying
He has lost track of his instincts of survival
Lost like a house in a fire
The man sees a tall man standing
He Keeps Going
The newcomer is waiting
He is a man in a suit standing there waiting
Like someone might for a friend
The newcomer showed the man something he would not believe
He Can’t Keep Going
He just keeps staring
His lifeless body lay there limp
There was nothing left for him here
The newcomer grasped the mans arm it all disappeared
He Kept Going
