On October 6th, a drone crashed into a commercial airplane near Quebec, Canada. This was the first reported confirmed collision with a plane and a drone.
Some MHS students share their general opinion on drones.
“I think they’re pretty cool, especially because you can get some real good cinematic stuff with them,” MHS sophomore Sam Funk said.
MHS students share what limitations drone owners should follow.
MHS senior Meg Kady commented, “I think that when people buy drones or when they use drones the seller should know what the drones are going to be used for, so that they’re not used for any type of malicious or destructive purpose.”
MHS students share how this event personally affects how they feel about flying in an airplane.
“It doesn’t affect me too much personally, but I do fly on commercial air flights,” MHS senior Meg Kady remarked, “and it makes me a little nervous knowing that something could happen, because you’re already a little nervous when you’re up in the sky in a moving metal box.”
