The boys varsity baseball team is ready for an unforgettable season this spring.
The team is all determined on having a winning season this year, and are willing to work hard to get there.
Their main goal as a team is to go undefeated throughout the season, and win the state championship.
“With any team we want to win states but as for short term goals we’re looking at playing one game at a time and winning those games, improving throughout the season,” said senior Robby Tucker.
In order to meet their goal, the boys are prepared to work hard on hitting and fielding at practice, and take it into their own hands to train at home.
“To make it to states the team is going to need at lot of focus and determination. I’m defiantly going to try a lot harder at practice this year, and take extra time to do stuff on my own,” said junior Logan Beckner.
Although practice makes perfect, that is not the only thing the team is relying on to get them through the season.
The boys must all be able to work together as a team and push each other to do well.
“Everyone on the team compliments each other abilities. We know each others strengths and weaknesses and help each other to perfect them,” junior Austin Klinginsmith.
The boys have all the right qualities for a successful season. They all hope that Middletown students will go out and support their team throughout the season.
