The story of the Middletown High School Knights girls indoor track team for the 2012-13 season, was one of just falling short.
After all the Knights, would finish third in the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) 2013 2A State Championship and couldn’t even end up on top of the standings at the MPSSAA 2013 2A West Regional Championship.
After doing extremely well at the Terry Baker Invitational, a pre-season meet on Dec. 6th it appeared that Middletown would be in good shape to have success early this season.
Unfortunately that was not the case as the Knights would not register a point, at the Warrior Invitational on Dec. 13th.
Middletown will have a chance to redeem themselves at the Dwight Scott Invitational on Dec. 20th at Hagerstown Community College and get back on the scorching pace that they had set last year.
The Knights will have a shot at success as the field Dwight Scott Invitational is wide open and can be taken by almost any of the teams in the field.
