To say the first meet of the season was a struggle for the Middletown High School Knights boys indoor track team would be a bit of an understatement.
Middletown has scored just 10 points at the Warrior Invitational, but will look to change that on Dec. 20th at the Dwight Scott Invitational at Hagerstown Community College.
Middletown struggled get anyone to crack the top six in the events at the Warrior Invitational, with the only two athletes scoring points being MHS junior Brent Leber who came in 2nd in the 3200 Meter run and senior Willie Ahalt who came in 5th in the 55 Meter hurdles.
It will not be easy though for Middletown, as the Knights will go up against a loaded field that includes 2013 1A State Finalist, Boonsboro High School and 2013 2A State Championship, Century High School.
Middletown will also have to contend with a small roster that prevents them from having multiple participants in each event, decreasing the chance of scoring points and virtually eliminating them from meet title contention, before the meet starts.
