The varsity cheerleading squad is stepping up their game in hopes to raise spirit throughout the school.
During the off season, all the varsity and junior varsity attended the Pine Forest Cheer camp. This camp included private coaching from trained professionals and non stop cheering.
“At camp, I learned to work with my team mates, new stunting techniques, and tips on my sideline cheering that I now take on to the fall season,” says junior Desiree Remsburg.
In addition to camp, the girls are pulling from a variety of sources to incorporate fresh new ideas into their routines.
“Mrs. Bolt has been watching cheerleading competition videos, getting new ideas and we’re adding all these new stunts and jumps,” says Captain Julie Rockwell.
With all the hard work in the off season, the cheerleading squad is anticipating a rewarding season.
