1. It gets you in shape.
2. You learn self discipline.
3. Soon running three miles is “no big deal”.
4. The meets are very exciting and high energy.
5. The coaches are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.
6. Team dinners, parties, and sleepovers are regular events.
7. The varsity and junior varsity teams work together and are seen as one.
8. You work your way up; you don’t start off going on the really long runs in the beginning of your season.
9. You get to see yourself improve as the season progresses.
10. You make friendships that will last a lifetime.
