Hannah Darr has been cheerleading for 10 years; this is her second year as a captain. The highlights of her cheerleading career come from being on a competition squad.
Darr said, “We all work well together and by doing that it makes us closer, and able to perform together.”
Her biggest obstacle to overcome for cheerleading has been to keep her grades up.
“I’ve always had to make choices between cheerleading and other sports. But cheerleading is my favorite thing to do,” she said.
Darr plans to cheer in college, but she is undecided of where she wants to go as of now. She would also like to eventually become a cheerleading coach.
Her goals for this season are to do a good job, have a successful season, and to “make sure everyone gets along.”
Darr’s coaches have a very big impact on her performance. They always work with the squad and help and teach the cheerleaders more.
Her athletic role model is her coach because she gets her team to work hard together on cheerleading.
