The Middletown High School boys cross country team is off to a fantastic start this season. With a strong Varsity team, they are making their way to the top.
Senior captain David Lieb said he was excited for the Regional meet because, “I think our team can do really well” Lieb, who has been running for four years also said that he believes the team will make it to the State championship meet this year.
“We need a strong first runner on our Varsity team,” said Lieb, in order to make sure that they achieve the goal of making it to States.
The team runs together very well commented Senior Captain Geoffrey Schaeffer.
In their past meets the varsity team has stuck close together in crossing the finish line. When running, during practices and meets, the boys stick together and push each other.
If they continue to improve as they are, the boys should have a very successful season.
