The Middletown High School talent show is a chance for students to show off their flair and moves. This is the third consecutive year that the SGA has hosted the talent show. From singing to juggling, this show is to be full of unexpected and unique talent. The show is to be held on March 18 at 7pm and costs $2 to enter.
“Each year we choose a charity to which we donate the money we make. Last year we donated to the Red Cross Haiti Relief and this year all proceeds will go to the Feed My Starving Children Fund,” said Maria Duva, science teacher and SGA Co-Advisor.
Feb. 16 was the final day to audition for the upcoming MHS Talent Show, and people are already getting excited.
MHS seniors Brendan Ho and Maggie Doherty auditioned for the show. They played piano and sang, respectively, to “Jar of Hearts”. Doherty had danced last year, and didn’t want to do the same thing twice, so when Ho asked her, it seemed like a good idea.
MHS sophomore Christian King auditioned with two different instruments; one song on the piano that he wrote, entitled “Art of a Smile”, and then “Dueling Guitars” from August Rush, using his guitar.
All of the acts are currently waiting to hear if they made the cut for the final show, but already, buzz is building for some of the acts.
MHS senior Megan Rigby is excited for The Middletown Tenors comprised of MHS sophomore Tommy Evich, junior Brandon Stonestreet, sophomore Jason Spiegel and sophomore Josh Greene. Rigby is also eager for “anything that Tara Forseth does.” MHS junior Tara Forseth is a member of the TBA Improv troupe, who also auditioned for the show.
