Hello students. I’ve had fun the last three mornings doing what I could to encourage school spirit for Homecoming Week. I am proud of all our students and staff. You have demonstrated that Middletown High School is truly outstanding. I know I have your attention, so I want to say something that I believe is very important. Part of the process of growing up is making choices. As your principal and a man that really does care about each and every one of you, I want you to always make the right choices. I understand that my wanting you to make the right choice won’t always make it happen. Let me get to the point. Homecoming activities are designed to be safe and fun. There is no safety or fun when people choose to combine Homecoming activities with drugs and/or alcohol. I am asking anyone that would make the wrong choice to use drugs and/or alcohol to stay away from our Homecoming activities. I’m not going to lecture you on the legal and moral consequences of this bad choice. You have heard it all your life. What I will tell you is that with out a doubt, I want the very best for you and I know if you are involved with drugs and/or alcohol, that is just NOT going to happen. So please help yourself and me, by staying alcohol and drug free. Have a GREAT day.
