Middletown High School students awoke Monday, March 25 to find snow covering the ground, prompting a cancellation of all Frederick County Public Schools for the day. The snowstorm, announced Sunday morning, was predicted to produce approximately 4 to 8 inches of accumulation. Elevated temperatures, steadily climbing to 39 degrees by the early afternoon, caused the wet snow to fall short of the previous predictions. – Photo by Ashlyn Miller
