It’s that time of year again. The opportunity to buy a new dress, check out all the latest make-up trends, and maybe get up the nerve to ask your latest crush to go to the once a year Homecoming Dance. Hopefully by now you have bought your dress, so now all you have to worry about is the details, and I am here to help.
In the coming days as the dance grows closer you will begin to worry about your hair and make-up. This year have fun with your makeup, try something new. A big trend this year is color; wear colored eyeliner or mascara to match your dress. Try purple or blue for a simpler look or try green or orange for a stand-out look.
If you are looking for an awesome hair style, I would recommend getting it done at a salon. If you decide to get it done, try to ask for something simple because sometimes getting your hair done can look a little overdone. If you’re doing your own hair have fun. You can go for the sleek straight look or if you always wear your hair straight try curling it. If you want to wear your hair up, try straightening your hair then pulling it back into a tight ponytail. Or try a fancy updo with a loose bun and a headband.
For shoes, make it your own style. If you don’t want to wear the standard heels, try flats or gladiators. Or if you’re looking for supreme comfort you can wear flip flops. If you decide on heels it is a good idea to wear heels before and change your shoes before the dance.
Dances are supposed to be a fun night with your closest friends, a night to remember. Don’t stress out too much about how you look; as long as you’re confident, that’s all that matters.
