So here we are. Now that Obama is President Elect of the United States of America, what’s next?
I’m not going to try and sugarcoat it. I don’t like Barack Obama one bit. I don’t agree with his plans for the Middle East, his Universal Health care idea, “redistribution of wealth,” or his magical free money to pay for the multitude of social programs he wants to begin.
So the big question is what’s in store for the country? I honestly have no idea, but I don’t see my situation as a lower-middle class citizen getting any better. I’m not too well off, yet I can say that the idea of my health being in the hands of the government is scary. The same government that has screwed up this country to where it is today handling my well being is unsettling. Not only that, but if Obama taxes the very companies and people that I work for, my life and others are going to get more difficult because everything rolls downhill, even the bad.
Right now, whether or not it was the election remains to be seen, the stock market had its biggest fall since the ’70s. Not the mention that it’s showing no signs of getting better.
It is going to be an interesting couple of weeks, while I tell everybody at school and trying to keep my sanity. I was planning on making a shirt to “commemorate” our turn into socialism, but Jordan Dent beat me to punch. Hold onto your seatbelts ladies and gents; this is going to be rough four years.
